FAME is excited to present our second careers panel for 2022 - Counsel Culture! If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like representing a creative client as in-house counsel, then this is the panel for you.
We are joined this year by ridiculously impressive and talented lawyers from HUGE brands in the film, arts, media and entertainment industries. They are here to answer our burning questions about the ins and outs of an in-house legal career, and specifically, what that entails when their client is involved with creative industries! The panel is set to take place right before mid-sem on the 21st of September at 6pm, at the law school. There will be FREE snacks and refreshments, so do not miss out!!

FAME LSA x SATLA Present: NFTea Time
Are you an NFT-buff? Or just want to know the tea on Non-Fungible Tokens? Join us for NFTea Time on Tuesday 23rd August! Hosted by FAME LSA and Science and Technology Law Association, Melbourne Law School, this workshop is open to all students interested in learning about NFTs and the evolving legal landscape.
Come along to delve into the exciting world of NFTs with our incredible guest speaker Alana Kushnir, the Founder and Director of Guest Work Agency.
Providing specialised legal services in the creative industries, Alana has extensive experience in Intellectual Property, Privacy, and Consumer law. Alana’s practice has an advanced technology focus, spanning from AI, to VR, XR, Blockchain, and NFTs.

FAME Presents the Young Lawyers Panel
Our inaugural Young Lawyers Panel will be an event to remember! With young representatives from a wide range of legal practices, our esteemed panelists will be talking through the battles of law school and your career prospects, battling imposter syndrome, how to back yourself and much more. Cinema Nova Networking Night
The networking night you film/law buffs you have all been waiting for! This event will be an opportunity to enjoy a film, have fun with friends, and network with lawyers in the Arts industry!
The night will consist of a screening of a one hour documentary film and will be followed by networking at the Nova Bar (adjacent to the Candy Bar at Cinema Nova). The event is free, but we require registrations as we can only host a limited amount of people due to DHHS guidelines. Be sure to register quickly to secure yourself a spot! Depending on capacity, more spots may be released so be sure to keep an eye out on FAME's socials.

FAME’s Workshop Series: Creative Writing
Sick of being ‘concise’ and using ‘IRAC’ and ‘crying into your keyboard’? Burn you AGLC and join our creative writing workshop with Zoey Dawson! Zoey will walk us through some fun writing exercises focusing on character and monologue. Perfectionism? We don’t know her! This workshop is all about letting loose on the paper.
